ICB Level 3 Safeguarding Adult Training

This online course outlines the core responsibilities of practitioners as well as why safeguarding is important and everyone’s responsibility. The session’s content will facilitate you to:

1. Draw on clinical and professional knowledge and expertise of what constitutes adult abuse, harm or neglect support others in fulfilling their adult safeguarding duties
2. Undertake capacity assessments within the framework of the relevant legislation and understand who needs to be included or consulted when making decisions in a person’s best interests
3. Undertake regular documented reviews of own (and/or team) safeguarding practice as appropriate to role in various ways, such as through audit, case discussion, peer review, reflective practice, supervision and as a component of refresher training
4. Contribute to and/or co-ordinate protection planning, resolution and recovery – as appropriate to safeguarding concern
5. Apply the lessons learnt from audit and case reviews
6. Work with other professionals and agencies, with adults and their families where there are safeguarding concerns in risk management and protection planning
