I Remember It Better: 2026 Distillery Residency Exhibition

The title of this year’s Distillery residency group exhibition speaks to the process of looking back, and the tendency to compare where we are with where we’ve been. This year’s artists-in-residence present seven distinct worlds, with their own unique aesthetic and material qualities, nevertheless united by a focus on the past—through memory, history, and found materials. The works in I Remember It Better show that the past is not a fixed reality, but is actively constructed through looking backward, looking forward, and in making space for the dissonance of being in-between. This year’s Artists-in-Residence are Kaylani Brown, Liv Cocozza, Darya Kharabi, Ethan Marks, Sara Ruiz, Isabella Schubert-Jones, and Dominique Swift. The exhibition is on view April 16-June 20, with gallery hours Thursdays 2-7pm, Fridays 11am-4pm, and Saturdays 11am-4pm.
