I love you Mum
About this Event
Fatma Osheik A. A. is a public health specialist in Sexual and Reproductive Health, qualitative researcher, and LSTM alumna with over eight years of experience in advocacy, policy influence, and community mobilization in Sudan. Originally trained as a dentist, she holds a Master's in Gender, Governance, and Migration Studies, bringing a highly multidisciplinary approach to her health initiatives.
Her work focuses on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) through a decolonial and intersectional lens. By blending qualitative insights with feminist methodologies and lived experiences, Fatma explores complex social systems and health narratives. Her upcoming talk, "I love you Mum," will focus on emotional labour and the politics of care, examining how these determine our health as women.
The Inspirational Women Seminar Series celebrates inspiring women and their contributions - all genders are welcome to attend.
Please join in person if you are able. A link will be circulated to international colleagues and those with caring responsibilities on the day of the event.
