Pottery fragments are some of the most common finds in archaeology and the excavations from the Manchester Dock are no exception. Piece together the history of these objects from their manufacture to their ill-fated journey to the docks, and how some of them have been reimagined into contemporary art in National Museums Liverpool's smallest venue, the Hartley Hut.Elsa Price, Lead Curator of Archaeology, uncovers the stories that shards of pottery can tell us about life in the past.
