Sto Market Vendor Guidelines




MARKET AND MANAGEMENT: The Sto Market Place will be the I Love Music Festival (22 Iron Horse Boulevard, Simsbury, CT 06070) The Sto Market Place will operate from 1 pm to 6 pm on Saturday, August 30th, 2025. The Sto Market Management will be on site for the entire sales event. Market management is ultimately responsible for the enforcement of vendor guidelines. Market Management has the authority to remove a vendor or visitor from the Sto Market Place when either vendor’s or visitor’s behavior is disruptive to visitors or other participant vendors of the market.




MARKET AND YOUR BUSINESS: Vendors must comply with all governmental regulations, statutes, and ordinances regarding public safety, health, and welfare including but not limited to product labeling laws and required licenses. It is also a vendor’s responsibility to collect any applicable sales tax on all sales at the Sto Market Place. Food vendors must be prepared to complete health inspections in accordance to host town regulations.




WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THE Sto MARKET PLACE VENDOR: To be Friendly, Courteous, Professional, Positive, Supportive, and Demonstrate Mutual Respect for all.




COVID PROTOCOL:


Mask and face covering requirements: Connecticut's policies regarding masks and face coverings were updated to align with the recently modified CDC recommendations. The statewide mask policy is currently in effect is as follows:

CONDUCT, ETHICS, and ETIQUETTE: While the Sto management will make every attempt to be reasonable, please be aware that violators may be banned from future participation even though their work may have been approved and booth space fees paid. Refrain from using profanity or behavior that is physically or verbally abusive or dangerous to market activities. Avoid products that might encroach upon others like scents, candle smoke, and noises like radios. Vendors may not use illegal mood-altering drugs or alcohol or be under the influence of these substances while participating at the Sto Market Place. The Sto Market Place encourages a professional competitive environment. There are caps placed on certain categories of products. The Sto Market Place does not facilitate monopolies in the market. The market requires friendly cooperation. Booths must be staffed by an adult. No aggressive tactics or sales by calling out. No booth sharing of any kind. Vendors who sell out must remain set up in full for the duration of the market.




COMMUNICATIONS: Email ([email protected]) is the primary form of communication with market management. Decisions based on phone calls (860-761-4315) or voicemails like requests for additional space or cancelations will also be considered valid forms of communication if submitted prior to the event day.




BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS: Booth assignments will be determined by vendors. The first to arrive has the first choice. You will choose an open table on the day of the market event. Each vendor will be provided with (1) 6-ft table. You must bring your own table covering, displays, and additional tables if (1) is not enough. Access to a power source(s) is limited. Please bring extension cords and power strips if you need them.




SETUP: Setup hours are from 11 am to 12:30 pm. All vendors need to plan travel, offloading, and setup time so you are FULLY and COMPLETELY set up, ready for sales at 1 pm. The 12:30 pm setup deadline will be strictly enforced. The market officially opens at 1 pm. Be courteous to vendors setting up beside you. There will be NO loading through the main entrance once the doors open for business.




BREAKDOWN: Vendors may break down their booths no earlier than 5:30 pm. Please be cautious at all times. The vendor’s booth should be sized-down, broken down, and minimized including the table BEFORE your departure. Be courteous to other vendors beside you.




BOOTH CLEANLINESS: Vendors must keep a clean area in and around their booth spaces throughout the day. All vendor trash must be bagged and carried off by the vendor at the end of the event as there are no available trash receptacles/dumpsters/bins and your space clean upon departing. We must exit the venue by 6:30 pm, please prepare accordingly.




WEATHER: This is an outdoor event we will operate in all weather conditions. The only exception is in the event of a declared State of Emergency impacting the immediate area, at which time Sto Management may elect to cancel and notify vendors in advance. Otherwise, there are no refunds for inclement weather.




ONSITE TRAFFIC: No vehicles are permitted to park at the loading zone. You can unload and move your car to an open parking spot in the lot in the rear of the parking lot. Be quick with unloading to lessen traffic backup.




PARKING: Parking is available for vendors at the venue.




ELECTRIC ACCESS: Please inform Sto Management of your need to access electricity. Vendors are responsible for electric strips and extension cords. 10-gauge cords are recommended. High-amperage equipment like space heaters is not permitted. Market Management reserves the right to limit or deny electric usage if it is deemed to interfere with market operations. Please report any electric issues with onsite Sto market management.
