HYROX DOUBLES SIMULATION RACE!
Brooklyn Strength Club is hosting its first-ever Hyrox Simulation Race and we're running it Doubles style. That means you'll sign up with a partner and tackle the Hyrox-style race together: 8 kilometers of running alternated with 8 functional workout stations.
Whether you're training for an upcoming Hyrox race, curious what race day actually feels like, or just want a fun Labor Day workout with a friend, this event is for you.
As one of Brooklyn's official Hyrox affiliate gyms, this is your opportunity to experience a real Hyrox race day in a no-pressure environment. Set a target to beat or simply come and experience what a Hyrox race feels like

THE RACE FORMAT:
**NOTE! based on the space and flow of our gym, the order and number of stations may vary from the official Hyrox sequence! The official format and stations will be released in the coming weeks.
An official Hyrox Race is composed of a total of 8km of running, broken down to 1km each, and 8 functional stations in between. SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jump, Rowing, Farmer's Carry, Lunges, Wall Balls. Due to the gym layout and flow, we will be modifying the format slightly to accomodate, so it won't be an exact race replica!
In the Doubles format, both partners run every running segment together and arrive at every station together. At each station, you split the required reps or distance between you using a "you go, I go" format. One partner works while the other rests, switching back and forth until the total is complete. You decide how to divide the work.
WEIGHTS & DIVISIONS
All teams choose whichever weights work best for them! Choose your division when you register:
Open (Women's weights)
Sled Push: 102kg including sled | Sled Pull: 78kg including sled | Farmer's Carry: 2 x 12kg kettlebells | Sandbag Lunges: 10kg sandbag | Wall Balls: 4kg ball
Open (Men's weights)
Sled Push: 152kg including sled | Sled Pull: 103kg including sled | Farmer's Carry: 2 x 24kg kettlebells | Sandbag Lunges: 20kg sandbag | Wall Balls: 6kg ball
In official Hyrox Mixed Doubles, the rule requires male/female teams to use men's weights. We're not doing that here. Pick what makes sense for your partnership and your goals.
Not sure which to choose? If you're newer to Hyrox or training for your first race, Women's Open is a great starting point. If you've been training consistently and want the full competitive experience, go Men's Open.
