About this Event
Join the American Medical Women’s Association, Operation Smile, the Global Alliance for Surgery, Obstetrics, Trauma and Anesthesia, the Frontline Health Workers Coalition, Medicins Sans Frontieres, the International Rescue Committee, Corporación Latinoamericana para la Salud, Children’s HeartLink, the World Federation Societies of Anesthesia, the International Society of Doctors for the Environment, and Health Innovation Exchange, for a side event on September 27th, alongside the UN General Assembly. During this hybrid event, special guests Her Excellency Madam Ann-Marie Davis, First Lady of the Bahamas, Her Excellency Madam Mellisa Santokhi-Seenacherry, First Lady of Suriname, and Her Excellency Malin Grapes, Swedish AMR Ambassador, will discuss with ministerial experts and civil society professionals, the challenges posed by antimicrobial resistance. They will further focus on the importance of global partnerships, innovative solutions, and future directions in the global fight against antimicrobial resistance, as part of a shared global agenda.
