Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservatory Cleanup with Veterans!
About this Event
Everyone is welcome to join this free community cleanup and wetlands restoration in Huntington Beach, CA. Veterans, families, and community members are invited to come together to protect our coastline and care for our shared environment.
Volunteers will be alongside Veterans to help clean, restore and protect the coastal wetlands of southeast Huntington Beach. Whether you are a Veteran, a local resident, or simply want to give back, your help will #MakeAnImpact
First time volunteers will also need to fill out the HBWC's facility's safety and liability waiver and bring them on the day of the event.

Location: Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy
Parking: 21900 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach, CA 92646 -- Park in either the North or South lot of the HBWC, the only entrance is on Newland St.
Meeting: Look out for our RFV Branded EZ-Up at the South Lot of the HBWC.

- Arrive by 10-15 minutes prior for prompt check-in and to secure parking.
- See an RFV representative to check-in to be handed your bag and gloves.
- Wear dirt-friendly attire; long pants and sleeves advised.
- Consider hats and sunscreen for protection.
- Only closed-toe, sturdy footwear is permitted. No sandals or flats allowed.
- Bring a reusable water bottle to minimize plastic use.
- All necessary tools and supplies will be provided.
- There are public restrooms located at the base of the pier.
We value the dedication of our military and volunteers, which is why we offer volunteer hours and Letters of Appreciation (for our Active Duty) for every event.
To request your LOA or volunteer hours, simply indicate your preference when getting your ticket.
Our mission is to remove trash from our planet by empowering Veterans to clean our communities. We accomplish our mission by having Veteran operated teams organize cleanups throughout the U.S. In return, we are giving Veterans a chance to recycle their leadership skills and continue our service in a different and equally important way.

Check In & Kick Off
Info: We will make a school circle around our Eco Warrior who is kicking off the event. During this quick brief, we will go over the route, safety instructions, and any special announcements. Please find an RFV Representative to check-in.

Service the Area
Info: We will kick off the cleanup by following the designated route and servicing the area for trash, recyclables, and debris. (Around 1-3 miles of sand)

Closing Remarks
Info: After the trash has been collected, our Team and partners will close out the event by educating the volunteers on conservation, sustainability, environmentalism, and how your impact makes a difference.
