Dear Senior Kendokas,We are delighted to invite you to the 23rd Hungary Momiji Cup – International Senior Kendo Tournament, taking place on 22 November 2025 in Budapest.
This event celebrates the spirit and skills of senior kendo practitioners across three age categories: 40+, 50+, and 60+. The Hungary Momiji Cup has grown into a tradition, offering a unique opportunity for senior kendokas to test their kendo skills and deepen their connection to the art of kendo on an international stage.
Each year, the tournament draws passionate participants from various countries, and its success is a testament to the enduring dedication and vitality of the senior kendo community. We believe this gathering not only honors the lifelong journey of kendo but also inspires younger generations by showcasing the limitless potential for growth at any age.

• 22 November (Saturday) 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Hungary Momiji Cup Tournament Venue: Kodály Zoltán Általános Iskola, Marczibányi tér 1, 1022 Budapest
• 23 November (Sunday) 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM – Open Asageiko Venue: II. Rákóczi Ferenc Gimnázium, 1024 Budapest, Keleti Károly utca 37. (5min. from Hungary Momiji Cup venue)

• Deadline: 18 November 2025
• Application Fee: 6000 HUF/person (includes team participation) – payable on site

Tournament Categories
• Senior A: Individual (40+), male/female, no grade restriction
• Senior B: Individual (50+), male/female, no grade restriction
• Senior C: Individual (60+), male/female, no grade restriction
• Senior Team: Mixed teams, formed on site
Note: Participants in the 50+ and 60+ categories are welcome to compete in younger age category as well.
