How to Prepare the Garden for Winter
About this Event
Now that the weather is cooling down, it is time to prepare the garden for winter. Its both a time to garden clean up, but also preparing for your next crops.
Join us for this class. We will discuss:
- garden clean up
- winterizing your irrigation system
- strategies for putting the garden to bed: straw, tarping your garden and cover cropping
- late plantings: garlic, spinach and so on
- covering late plantings with frost protection blankes
- strategies for season extension
- winterizing your irrigation system
