**‘No Hollywood end to this. No last minute rescue. This… right here… with you… is the best chance I’ve got…’**Jodie and Brad seem like they have it all. The house in the suburbs, the nice car, the fully stocked bar. But when the couple are faced with a devastating crisis, they must enlist the help of a mysterious acquaintance from Jodie’s past.
In this timely, dark, and dazzling UK premiere, Tony Award-nominated Neil LaBute takes an unflinching look at how we navigate our lives when time is running out.
LaBute’s most shocking and tender play yet is directed by Stratford East’s newly appointed Artistic Director Lisa Spirling (Vardy v Rooney: The Wagatha Christie Trial), from the producers of the 5-star Park Theatre hits Clybourne Park and The Shape of Things.
📍 Venue Description: Park Theatre delivers world-class theatre
==========================================
The innovative Park Theatre London was created by Artistic Director Jez Bond and Creative Director Melli Bond. The Bonds underwent a six-year search across London for the perfect building that could represent their artistic aims and also their aspirations for inclusivity and diversity. Their efforts would prove successful when they stumbled upon a vacant office block next to Finsbury Park station in 2010.
How Park Theatre came to be
----------------------------
Support from the theatre community played a pivotal part in order for the theatre to thrive. Notable figures who backed the theatre include Alan Rickman and Ian McKellen. Once the press, public and local residents were on board the Bonds were able to raise the necessary funds to convert the abandoned building into the stunning showhouse that it is known to be today. Following a £2.6 million refurbishment, the building, designed by David Hughes Architects, opened in May 2013 to critical acclaim.
Park Theatre’s aims
--------------------
Park Theatre aims to deliver world-class productions through collaborations with the finest existing and emerging talent on stage and behind the scenes. It incorporates a mixture of new writing and modern revivals, telling accessible and true-to-life stories through content that resonates and reflects the world around us.
