About this Event

Overview

Most startup pitches sound compelling in the room. The real skill is knowing what to look for and what to look past.

This is a hands on, practical session designed to give you the exact mental framework that experienced angel investors use to quickly filter opportunities. No spreadsheets, no MBA required. Just a clear, repeatable process you can start applying immediately whether you're evaluating your first deal or trying to bring more discipline to how you assess opportunities.

Location

We're at a new venue this time - La Fabrica &Co (use this link to google: https://share.google/d9jmpQqE7QgxguFlT), a 7,000 m² entrepreneurial hub in the heart of Poblenou, bringing together coworking, coliving, and a members' club with a pool, gym, event spaces, podcast room and seaview terraces. It's a community of founders, builders, and investors who support each other.

What you'll walk away with:

  • A step-by-step framework for evaluating any startup in under 10 minutes
  • The key criteria angels use to separate signal from noise — team, market, traction, and more
  • The red flags most first-time investors miss (and how to spot them fast)
  • A simple scoring approach you can personalise and reuse across every deal you see
  • Confidence to walk into any pitch and know exactly what questions to ask

Who is this for?

This session is for aspiring angels, early-stage investors, and curious professionals who want a practical toolkit not theory. If you've ever sat through a pitch and thought "I have no idea how to judge this," this session was built for you.

What to expect:

This is not a lecture. Expect real examples, interactive discussion, and a framework you'll actually use. Come ready to think critically, ask questions, and leave with something tangible in hand.

The best investors aren't the ones who say yes the most they're the ones who know quickly and confidently when to say no.

2 hour event ( There will be time for networking)
