About this Event
How to Build Self Confidence
Saturday, October 25 - 10:00am to 12:30pm
Self-confidence is not the same as self-importance—in fact, it’s quite the opposite. When we’re caught up in grasping at a fixed sense of self, we often find ourselves competing with others, constantly comparing and positioning. This undermines true confidence, distracting us from the meaningful work of personal growth and service to others.
This retreat offers a meaningful opportunity to step back, reconnect with your inner strength, and build authentic confidence from within.
In this workshop, we’ll explore spiritual self-confidence, also known as non-deluded pride—a healthy, grounded sense of self rooted in our potential rather than our current limitations.
This is known as “pride with respect to our potential”—a deep trust in our Buddha nature: our capacity for lasting happiness, complete freedom, universal love, and profound wisdom.
In recognizing this, we begin to relate not to who we are now, but to who we can become.
What to Expect:
- Guided meditations to cultivate inner calm and clarity
- Practical teachings on developing spiritual self-confidence
- Reflections on Buddhist wisdom and how it applies to daily life
- Time for discussion, questions, and connecting with others
