About this Event

Panelists:
Bryony Shepherd, Head of Interpretation at V&A South Kensington
Matt Thornley, Director at Gibson Thornley
Marta Weiss, Curator, Photography at V&A South Kensington
Natascha von Uexkull, Co-design participant V&A Photography Centre

Museums play an important cultural role in cities but can feel disconnected from the communities they represent. Working with audiences is a central tenet of the V&A’s approach to gallery design.
Our event will explore how co-design directly shaped the brief and the design response of the RIBA award-winning Photography Centre, completed in 2023. Matt Thornley will give a guided tour through the Photography Centre, which will be followed by a panel discussion.
