How 2 knOw: Poetry Workshop
About this Event
Join us for a poetry workshop exploring water, memory, and the multiplicity of our identities, languages, and cultures. Together with Nirvona Soraya-Galo, we’ll consider these layered ways of being not as things to flatten or assimilate, but as sources of knowledge, connection, and possibility.
At the workshop, we’ll read, write, and workshop poetry in response to Ripples. No poetry experience is necessary—come as you are, in whatever language(s), form(s), or way(s) feel right to you.
At the Ripples closing celebration, we’ll gather for an open reading and share work and reflections that emerged from the workshop. Sharing is completely optional: you’re welcome to read, listen, witness, or simply celebrate with us. Light food and drinks will be provided.
