Hot Summer Nights returns for its second year with a hand-picked selection of the hottest live music acts, curated with films in a single-ticket experience to set the perfect summer vibe. Every Friday and Saturday between January 9 and February 14, join us in the NFSA heritage courtyard for live music followed by classic cinema.

Settle in from 6 pm as Belco Gypsy Jazz Band takes the stage for a live performance in the NFSA heritage courtyard. Enjoy local wines, summer cocktails and charcuterie, available for purchase onsite from Dom’s deli & bar. Then head into Arc Cinema at 8 pm for a screening of Funny Face.

Led by accordionist Matt Dennett, the Belco Gypsy Jazz Band captures the romance and charm of 1930s–40s Paris, when Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club sound defined a golden age of swing. This dynamic trio performs Django classics, French musette tunes, and original gypsy-inspired pieces, captivating audiences with lively interplay, expressive freedom, and the irresistible spirit of gypsy jazz.
