Looking for an exciting way to explore the outdoors with a twist?
Our Half-Day Caving Experience is the perfect introduction to the underground world. Ideal for individuals, families, and small groups, this experience takes you into one of the Peak District’s fascinating natural cave systems, all at a relaxed and accessible pace.

What to Expect
Led by experienced instructors, we’ll guide you through a series of underground passages, chambers, and features that showcase the geology and history of the Peak District. This is a non-technical caving trip, suitable for complete beginners. Expect plenty of crawling, squeezing and scrambling – all optional and with the flexibility to suit your confidence and comfort levels.

Key Info:
• Location: Peak District usually near the Hope Valley or Stoney Middleton (venue chosen to suit your group)
• Duration: Around 3 hours
• Group Size: Up to 8 people
• Minimum Age: 8 years, under 12s must be accompanied by a responsible adult (for open sessions – younger participants welcome on private bookings)

• Anyone with a reasonable level of mobility and curiosity for underground spaces

What’s Included:
• All specialist equipment including helmet, headtorch and caving oversuit
• Professional instruction and guiding
• A fun and supportive environment tailored to your group

What You’ll Need:
• Clothing: Warm layers to wear under your caving suit (non-cotton recommended – fleece or synthetic sportswear works best). A buff or thin hat can be worn under helmets if you get cold easily.
• Footwear: Wellies provided – but if you prefer your own, they’re welcome too
• Other Essentials:
o Towel and full change of clothes (just in case)
o Up to £3pp in cash for cave access (goes to local landowners)

Cancellations made with less than 30 days’ notice are non-refundable unless we’re able to resell your place, in which case a refund will be issued minus a 25% admin fee. If we need to cancel due to weather or safety concerns, we’ll offer an alternative date or a full refund.
