The 21-mile Edale Skyline is one of the classic and most rewarding hikes in the Peak District. It offers a full tour of the high ridges surrounding Edale Valley, combining dramatic landscapes, sweeping views, and famous hilltops.**We are doing it in August, which will be a special time as the Edale Valley will be covered in Purple heather**.
Tickets for this walk are £20. This payment is non-refundable. It will only be refunded in the event of a non-weather related cancellation. *Tickets/spaces for this walk/event are pre booked and pre paid, please don't just turn up on the day with cash*
This is a tough but rewarding hike, a good level of fitness is required. We will be looking at 3,400ft of elevation gain and between 9 and 10 hours of hiking.
Highlights include -
MamTor, the Great Ridge, Win Hill, Kinder Scout Plateau, lots of spectacular rock formations and purple heather!
Come prepared with plenty of layers, it's exposed up there and the weather can chenge quickly.
Bring at least two litres of of water and plenty of food/snacks to sustain you, we won't be passing any shops.
