Join us at the new A&DS:SpACE venue with the opening event by Imagine If. Space CIC to celebrate National Housing Week.
After welcoming you to this new space, and you have a refreshment in hand, we will share some information about what to expect from the A&DS SpACE exhibition programme over the next few months. You can view the headlines of the forward programme .
A short poetry performance will mark the opening of the exhibition programme and the start of the first event by Imagine If. Space CIC. Imagine If will share some hopeful insights on their planned events, workshops and interactive exhibition, explaining how it has emerged from their ongoing creative engagement practice.
After watching Imagine If's short film 'Hopeful Futures' you will be introduced to the interactive exhibition through a short ideas activity that aims to surface good ideas for homes, streets and neighbourhoods of the future.
If you would like to have a deeper dive into the practical application of design ideas and how they might happen, sign up to one of the running throughout the week. We will finish the exhibition on Thursday with a discussing 'What do good neighbours, communities & homes look like?' to reflect on the engagement held throughout the week and hear from real people making real differences towards hopeful futures.
This event is part of a wider upcoming event/exhibition series we are hosting in A&DS:SpACE at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, and we would love for you to be a part of it. We are hosting these events with support from Architecture and Design Scotland (A&DS), who runs the venue in collaboration with Space for Architecture, Carbon & Environment (SpACE) and are giving us access for free.
- week long exhibition (14th - 17th September) in celebration of National Housing Week to explore what good homes, streets and communities look like
- workshops (15th - 17th September) to invite deep exploration of ideas and tools to work towards hopeful futures.
