Fun night of dancing to Blues and other tunes. Beginner friendly dance class, then dancing till midnight.

Hoodoo Blues Dance Night! Join us for a fantastic night of blues dancing. Whether you're new to blues or have been dancing for a while, this is the perfect place to enjoy great music, dance, and social connection. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level.

You don’t need to come with a partner, as we rotate practive partners during the class. If you have come with someone special and just want to dance with them, that’s cool too. We don’t gender our dance roles, so everyone learns to lead and follow, and anyone can then dance with anyone else. This makes it a very welcoming space for all, including the LGBTQ+ community. 

Schedule:

Doors Open: 7:15 PM

Dance Class: 7:30 PM (1-hour class, all levels - great for beginners)

Social Dancing: 8:30 PM - Midnight

What is Blues Dancing? Blues dancing developed alongside blues music. It’s a relaxed, improvised partner dance with roots in African-American culture. It's all about connection, creativity, and the joy of movement.
