About the event
Imbolc marks the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, a subtle yet powerful seasonal threshold. Traditionally associated with early February, Imbolc is a time when the earth is still resting beneath the surface, yet the first signs of new life begin to stir. The days are slowly lengthening, seeds are quietly germinating underground, and the promise of renewal is felt before it is seen.
Seasonally, Imbolc invites us to shift from deep rest into gentle gradual awakening. It is not a time of force or full action, but of tending the inner flame, listening inward, nurturing intentions, and allowing what is ready to emerge to do so in its own time.

This Imbolc gathering at Moksha Holistic Therapies CIC offers a trauma-informed, heart-centred space to honour this transition. Through cacao, sound healing, gentle ritual, and reflection, participants are invited to reconnect with warmth, clarity, and resilience while being held in the grounding support of community.
This session forms part of Roots & Resilience, a Derbyshire Mind–funded mental health and wellbeing project, supporting accessible, inclusive, and non-clinical spaces for emotional wellbeing, connection, and nervous system regulation.

What to Expect
Sacred & Safe Space
Trauma-informed container with emphasis on consent, choice, and emotional safety
Warm, softly lit environment designed to support rest and ease
Gentle grounding through breathwork and guided meditation
Optional journaling or reflection to explore intentions and inner stirrings

Ceremonial Cacao: Nourishing the Inner Flame
Sharing of ceremonial-grade cacao to support grounding, heart connection, and emotional presence
Guided meditation focused on nourishment, warmth, and gentle renewal
Optional sharing circle to foster connection and belonging
Cacao is offered as a supportive plant ally, helping cultivate presence, gratitude, emotional clarity, and embodied awareness. Participation is always optional and guided with care.

Imbolc Ritual: Seeds of Renewal
A simple, symbolic ritual inviting reflection on what you are quietly nurturing within
Gentle intention-setting aligned with renewal, hope, and inner guidance
Candle or light-based elements symbolising the slow return of light
This ritual honours Imbolc as a time of quiet beginnings, tending potential rather than forcing change.

Sound Healing Journey: Awakening Through Rest
Immersive soundscape using crystal bowls, drums, hand-pan, and voice
Supports nervous system regulation, deep rest, and emotional integration
Guided imagery connecting with warmth, steadiness, and emerging light
Sound healing supports the body’s natural capacity to settle, restore, and integrate experiences gently.
Guided sound healing led by Azim, including traditional healing songs (icaros-inspired vocal toning) used to support grounding, emotional release, and deep rest

Closing Circle & Integration
Grounding meditation and reflection
Optional sharing or personal affirmation
A collective moment to carry Imbolc’s energy into the weeks ahead
Participants often leave feeling nourished, steadier, softly hopeful, and reconnected.
