FREE - NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED!Bring your homeschoolers out to learn how to make a debris hut and help us with some land management at the same time. By pulling invasive honeysuckle out of the ground to cover their huts, they will help native plants survive. Debris huts will only stay up until the program is over and then, we will make it look like we were never there.
Bring your homeschool groups outside for hands-on science designed for all ages. Two programs are designed just for homeschoolers. They are called Homeschool Science Days and Homeschool Science Days DISCOVERY HIKES.
Homeschool Science Days are station-based with various fun, educational activities. These are drop in programs that begin at 10 am and go to noon. Please plan to arrive no later than 11:30 in order to have time to enjoy the activities.
Homeschool Science Days DISCOVERY HIKES last 90 minutes and cover seasonal topics such as wildflowers, habitats, animal tracking and more. These discovery hikes are guided and will leave promptly at 10 am. Late guests will have to catch up. The hikes end at 11:30 am.
Dress for the weather. This program will be entirely outdoors, rain or shine. There is a chance that participants may get muddy.
At least one adult must be present with each homeschool group.
Registration is no longer needed for the homeschool educational series.
