Homeschool Physical Education

Homeschool Physical Education is held at the Kim Geist Academy. The aim is to get engaged with each other and physical activity over the winter, with some entertaining classes - designed just for homeschoolers during the school day. Ages ~9 and up. Challenges and games are a part of the curriculum!

- Strength/fitness training - Using body weight and weights appropriate to age. All equipment is provided.

- Indoor cycling - Using stationary trainers. A personal bike with 26-27" wheels and gears is needed. Contact us if your bike has different size wheels or you are in need of a bike.

DATES & TIME: Sessions run Mondays and Thursdays, January 6 - March 13 with strength (1:00-2:00pm) and cycling (2:00-2:30pm) able to be registered for separately or together. *no class February 17, President's Day* Class cancellations may be made for inclement, dangerous travel weather or instructor unavailability.

BOOKING & PAYMENT: Pre-payment is required for full-season and 1 day per week participation. After initial registration on this page, you will receive an email with payment instructions. Single-session bookings can be made here. Single-sessions will become available 1 week before classes begin, if spots remain. Pricing for single-sessions is STRENGTH & CYCLING: $13.00, STRENGTH ONLY: $10.00.

ARRIVAL & EQUIPMENT: Please arrive early enough to be ready to begin by the start time (allow more extra time (20+ min.) your first time to the facility, if you have a bike). Park in the parking lots across from the building, on Gap Rd. Bring a towel and a water bottle. A water fountain is available to refill. Private restrooms/changing rooms are available.

Please leave your front bike wheel in the car/at home. Bring your front thru-axle. Bikes with quick releases as well as 10 and 12mm thru-axles can be accommodated.
