HB101 – Homebuying 101 is an 8-hour course over 4 days to prepare first time homebuyers for homeownership. Topics covered include

• Information on preparing for the mortgage process

• First time homebuyer mortgages

• How to find a home

• The legal aspects of buying a home

• How to work with professionals during the homebuying process.

Graduates of this HUD certified course are given a certificate that allows access to financial assistance programs, Mass Housing Partnership’s ONE Mortgage, MassHousing mortgages, home ownership lotteries, and lender first time homebuyer mortgages. The certificate is accepted statewide for first time homebuyer education. Certificates are good for 3 years.

Each person attending must purchase 1 ticket for the series. Couples buy 2 tickets. All sessions listed in the title must be attended for the certificate. Makeup class attendance permitted. Sales end when event is at capacity or at ticket sales end date.

Refunds up to 7 days before the start of class.
