Description: South Carolina, our home, spans 32,000 square miles from the coast to the mountains, offering breathtaking beauty that has inspired photographers, poets, scientists, philosophers, and citizens alike. Being a small part of the natural world is an irreplaceable experience. However, environmental challenges and population growth jeopardize our natural world daily. Our natural resources have been the foundation of our livelihood, providing us with food, water, recreation, and shelter. The complex relationship between humans and the environment will define our future, and we must make every effort to protect it. We must value and protect our sacred spaces if we want a future worth safeguarding. This photographic presentation explores the unique landscapes of South Carolina and the challenges stemming from population growth and limited resources.
