Apply very small numbers knowledge to the world of medicines in this very practical workshop
About this Event

In this workshop, participants will step into the role of a pharmacist, using maths skills to measure, calculate, and check amounts so that medicines are prepared accurately.

They will explore a range of pharmaceutical formulations, using mock prescriptions, to learn how different dosage forms are prepared and why precision is so important. Through practical activities, participants work out doses to ensure each medicine stays within the correct therapeutic range. By the end of the workshop, they will understand the importance of accurate maths in ensuring medicines are safe and effective.

For children who have just completed Years 7, 8 and 9 this term - please book based on your child’s current/most recent school year, not their new year group from September. This typically corresponds to children aged around 11–14 years old. We reserve the right to refund or deny entry to those who are not in the correct year group.

Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (14 calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
