A hands-on workshop all about fluid dynamics full of live demonstrations.
About this Event

Why does a ball move the way it does when thrown? What carries a rubber duck across an ocean? And what do both of these have to do with each other?

In this hands-on workshop, you'll be introduced to the fascinating world of fluid dynamics: the mathematics of how things move through air and water.

Through live demonstrations and some mathematical tinkering, you will explore the forces that govern fluid flow and discover how mathematicians model the physical world around us.

For young people who have just completed Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 this term - please book based on their current/most recent school year, not their new year group from September. This typically corresponds to children aged around 14-18 years old. We reserve the right to refund or deny entry to those who are not in the correct year group.

Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (14 calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
