This session will provide a review of evolving information at the intersection of current geopolitical changes, their impact on the therapeutic context, and strategies for burn-out prevention for clinicians who serve these clients and are personally impacted. The presenter will utilize lecture and experiential exercises to support the learning objectives and facilitate learning. The content of this course is best-suited for trained mental health professionals.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After completing the program, participants will be able to...
- Identify legal & liability considerations for working with rights-impacted clients in the current geopolitical context and the resources to effectivly plan supports for these clients.
- Navigate legal changes while adhering to ethical duties and responsibilities.
- Identify and practice burn-out prevention techniquest to make the work sustainable.
