About this Event
The event will include light refreshments and a short artist talk featuring several artists from the exhibition, sharing insights into their practices and the ideas that shaped this collective body of work.
Together, we will reflect on resistance as something rooted—tended, shared, and sustained over time.
Rooted Resistance examines the intersection of creative work, caregiving, and ecological advocacy, exploring how these responsibilities both compete for and amplify each other's urgency. The featured artists demonstrate how parenting and creative practice inform environmental consciousness and activism, revealing how familial concerns catalyze environmental action while artistic practice offers vital tools for imagining more just ecological futures.
