Oil Painting Class in Brooklyn — Weekly (Thu to Sun)

Join us for a weekly oil painting class in Brooklyn — offered every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Whether you're looking to refine your technique or you're ready to start a new hobby, you can enjoy an educational and engaging oil painting lesson in NYC! You will learn oil painting from the comfort of your instructor's art studio in Brooklyn!

During a 3-hour lesson, you will learn about composition, color, and tonal relationships, how to mix colors and paint with a palette knife in an impressionistic style. You can follow the teacher’s instructions step-by-step or trust your intuition and eyes, either way, you will have a great time and take home your unique masterpiece!

All levels are welcome! Your instructor can teach you the basics or help you build on your existing skills. You'll enjoy a private or semi-private oil painting lesson where you can receive individual guidance.

Drinks, snacks, and art supplies are included in your lesson! All you need to do is come ready to learn, explore art, and enjoy a hands-on painting class.

Elena Chestnykh is a visual artist based in New York City. She has presented three solo exhibitions in New York, including Urban Reflections at Erarta Gallery (2013), Woman in Landscape at Gallery Space 776 (2022), and Songs of Summer at The Untitled Space (2023). Her work has been shown nationally and internationally, with exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art Erarta (Saint Petersburg), WINZAVOD Art Center (Moscow), the Art State Museum of Novosibirsk (Russia), and NordArt 2010 (Germany). Chestnykh has also participated in group shows at The Untitled Space, SFA Projects, Space 776, The Royal Gallery (NYC), Trenton Artworks (NJ), and the Feminist Biennial at Woman Made Gallery (Chicago, IL).
