In this class, participants will be introduced to Hokusai and his famous "Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji". Hokusai has inspired many great artists like Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, and many others. In this class, participants will learn to make their own rendition of the Denali mountain and create their own wood block. Participants will be walked through the process of sketching, transferring, and carving a linoleum mat to produce their own view of Mount Denali with inspiration from Hokusai.
Class is recommended for ages 12 plus as we will be using sharp tools.
