We're excited to invite you all to our Hmong Wedding for beginners workshop. This will highlight Hmong wedding proceedings at a high-level without providing the overwhelming details to help pique the interest around this part of our traditions/culture.Our presenters, Cheng Vang and Lue Lo are both a younger generation of Mej Koob that share a passion for our traditions and understand how it is to be new to learning these topics.
Disclaimer: This workshop is not intended for anyone to become a trained Mej Koob or to know how to hold any particular positions required in a wedding. It is however, dedicated to raise interest in Hmong weddings, develop awareness of Hmong wedding procedures, and help answer any basic questions the community may have around this topic.
COST - FREE
WHO - This is open to everyone, all ages, and all cultural backgrounds (you do not have to be Hmong to attend this)
WHAT TO EXPECT - Our presenters will lead the workshop in a lecture or activity based presentation for approximately 2 hours. Attendees are welcome to the free snacks and beverages.
