Looking for a casual early-evening outing, with good conversation and even better drinks—and just a splash of history? Right here in charming downtown Mount Horeb? You are in luck! The Driftless Historium’s After Supper Club invites you to their inaugural “History with a Twist,” hosted by the Driftless Social (128 E Main St, famous for their array of trendy and traditional cocktails) on Tuesday, April 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Guests will be assigned a mystery historical persona at the door, a la the night’s theme of “History Hedbanz.” With a fetching plastic headband proclaiming their mystery identity to all but themselves, they will mingle with the crowd to investigate, with only simple “yes” or “no” questions allowed. Participants can trade in for a new persona as needed, with first and second prize awarded for most number of identities uncovered before 830 p.m.
Cost is $15 per person, with all proceeds directed back to the Driftless Historium’s children’s programming. MHAHS Members attend free. Registration is not required.
“History with a Twist” events are offered by the After Supper Club, a volunteer committee tasked with engaging busy and over-committed working-age adults with our community’s rich history and culture, via informal and interactive events and gatherings.
