History Tours of The Battery (Multiple Dates)

Join us for guided tours of The Battery. Learn about the park's rich history, many important landmarks and monuments, SeaGlass Carousel, beautiful perennial gardens designed by renowned Dutch garden designer Piet Oudolf, and so much more!

When: Tours are offered at various times throughout the week, and are available for registration at least one month in advance. View all available offerings through the calendar above.

Tours are approximately 45 minutes. Please arrive a few minutes early as the tour will begin right on time. Please note that tours will not happen in the rain -- we will do our best to alert you in advance, but sometimes the forecast changes suddenly! Please reach out if you have questions about the weather forecast and its impact on your reservation.

Sign up: Be sure to RSVP to reserve your spot. View the calendar by selecting "Check Availability" above, then choose the date you're interested in. Select the tour time, choose your number of tickets, and click "Register" to complete your reservation.

Where: Meet in front of SeaGlass Carousel. Look for our tour guide holding up a sign with our blue "B" logo to identify themselves.

COVID-19 Policy for Events:

1. We encourage any event participants that are not vaccinated against COVID-19 to please wear a mask while participating in our public programs.
2. We ask that participants stay home if feeling sick or if they've had a known COVID-19 exposure in the last 5 days.
