Learn more about the prehistory and early history of the area at a special History Happy Hour: Before the Allertons on Tuesday, April 14 from 5-6 p.m. in the .
Archaeologist Brian Adams will speak about the Native Americans and early settlers who lived on the land that is now Allerton and highlight the sites of archaeological significance within the Park’s borders.
A cash bar will be available.
$7/person. All sales are final.

About the instructor
Brian Adams is a retired Associate Research Scientist in Archaeology at the . Brian has conducted archaeological research around the world and all over the state of Illinois, including at Allerton Park. He is also active in local historic preservation efforts and has successfully nominated historic buildings for local landmark status as well as inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.
