Experience a live demonstration tracing the visual history of Ikenobo at a Grand Ikebana Demonstration on Sunday, May 17 from 12-1 p.m. in the Mansion Library.
Attendees will witness the creation of diverse styles, from the spiritual origins of Tatehana (standing flowers) to the intricate Classical Rikka, and finally the most contemporary evolution: Rikka Shimputai, known for its modern brightness and individual expression.

About the instructor
All instructors are members of Illinois Prairie Ikenobo Chapter and are certified by Ikenobo Ikebana Headquarters in Kyoto, Japan. Experience ranges from 2 to 35 years practicing and teaching Ikenobo Ikebana.
