Join the West Baton Rouge Museum on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 6-8 PM for Historical Happy Hour. This month’s featured musical guest performer will be Kasey Ball performing on trumpet, saxophone and trombone as well as singing Mardi Gras favorites accompanied by his acoustic trio backing band.Louisiana native, Kasey Ball is a multi-instrumentalist composer/singer-songwriter and a trumpet specialist endorsed by Del Quadro Trumpets who will be performing original jazz music as well as selected Bebop standards and music from the New Orleans brass band repertoire. He has been professionally active since 2010, and has been a steady fixture on the New Orleans and Baton Rouge jazz and blues scenes. Kasey has traveled as far as Las Vegas, New York, and Ecuador as a New Orleans jazz musician and clinician.
This FREE event is open to the public. This performance will take place outdoors at the Juke Joint stage on the grounds of the West Baton Rouge Museum near 6th Street. At Historical Happy Hour, the drinks are on you, and the history is on us. All are invited to bring blankets, folding chairs, and refreshments to enjoy on the museum grounds. In the event of inclement weather, the event will move indoors.
