Bring the family to discover the wonders of 18th-century Bethlehem! On April 18, the Colonial Industrial Quarter (CIQ) comes alive with artisans, demonstrators and faces of the past. Family fun takes center stage as you experience life in the 1700s through hands-on activities and living history demonstrations, uncovering the crafts and trades that made early Bethlehem the industrial heart of a young nation.
Kids of all ages can use their free “Past-Port” as a guide to meet early Moravians, soldiers and craftsmen such as the blacksmith and the leather worker, all while exploring the bustling early American atmosphere.
Looking for hands-on fun for the kids? Get the All-Activity Pass, unlocking a day filled with adventure as they explore 18th-century crafts and trades through tin punching, creating a clay pinch pot and making a leather keychain. They’ll leave with their very own keepsakes including a leather key fob, punched tin trinket and more!
Attendees can also go inside the CIQ buildings, including the newly restored 1782/1834 Grist Miller’s House; 1869 Luckenbach Mill; and the 1762 Waterworks, the nation’s first pumped municipal water system, where they’ll see the 18-foot waterwheel in motion. Plus, have your antiques and coins appraised at the Antique Treasure Show, showcase your baking skills in the Baked into Bethlehem Baking Challenge or embark on one of our half-price walking tours, including the new Bethlehem and the Revolution tour.
Enjoy awesome eats from our food vendors, indulge in a sweet treat from the Old-Fashioned Bake Sale or quench your thirst at the Springhouse Tavern while catching the latest revolutionary news from Philadelphia.
