About this Event

A retreat-like movement experience for your body, mind, and spirit.

The Afrofeteness Experience is a retreat-style gathering led by Theresa rooted in Afro-Caribbean movement, healing, joyful expression, and sisterhood.

This is more than a dance workshop.

It’s an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and remember the freedom that already lives within you.

Together, we’ve intentionally designed this experience to guide you through every stage of the journey.

We’ll begin by grounding ourselves.

Yoga instructor Cat Rosalita will lead a hip-centered yoga flow focused on mobility, flexibility, breathwork, and intention setting. This opening practice gently prepares the hips, spine, and nervous system for the movement ahead, creating space in both the body and mind before we dance.

From there, we’ll transition into the signature Afrofeteness Hips & Healing Workshop, where you’ll learn Afro-Caribbean-inspired movement, build confidence through technique and choreography, and reconnect with your body in a space rooted in encouragement instead of comparison.

We’ll laugh.

We’ll celebrate.

We’ll move without judgment.

We’ll remember that our bodies were created for expression—not perfection.

To close our experience, we’ll come together one last time for something completely unique.

Cat returns to lead a high-energy Jersey Club Yoga Flow, blending yoga sequences with upbeat Jersey Club music and hip-focused movement. It’s playful, energizing, and the perfect way to celebrate everything you’ve unlocked throughout the day.

You’ll leave feeling:

  • More connected to your body
  • More confident in your movement
  • Grounded and energized
  • Supported by an incredible community of women
  • Joyful, empowered, and deeply renewed

Because healing doesn’t always happen in silence.

Sometimes healing happens through movement.

Sometimes through laughter.

Sometimes through a room full of women reminding one another what freedom feels like.

What to expect:

Opening Hip-Centered Yoga Flow

Led by Cat Rosalita, we’ll begin with a grounding yoga practice focused on hip and spinal mobility, flexibility, breathwork, and intention setting.

This isn’t about touching your toes—it’s about arriving fully present in your body and preparing it for movement.

Afrofeteness Hips & Healing Workshop

Learn Afro-Caribbean-inspired techniques and choreography designed to build confidence, musicality, body awareness, and self-expression.

Movements are broken down in a way that supports all experience levels, allowing you to truly understand the movement—not just copy it.

Inner Work + Reflection

Experience guided moments of reflection that deepen the connection between your movement, your mindset, and your body.

Sisterhood + Celebration

Encouragement over competition.

Community over comparison.

Cheering, laughing, learning, and celebrating one another every step of the way.

Jersey Club Yoga Celebration

We’ll end on a high with Cat Rosalita’s signature Jersey Club Yoga session.

This upbeat flow combines yoga with the infectious rhythm of Jersey Club music and hip-focused movement for a fun, energizing finale that leaves you feeling strong, free, and alive.

This is a one of a kind event that you don't want to miss!
