In this class, we will be hand-building our very own frog bowl! These adorable little bowls are perfect for holding trinkets, but they're also food-safe, so you can enjoy your favorite snacks from your hip-hoppity frog bowl.
We'll use wooden forms to drape a slab of clay over to create the bowl shape. Then, with just a few additional pieces of clay, a plain bowl is transformed into a whimsical frog bowl. This is a super fun project that's perfect for both kids and adults!
All materials are provided, and once you've finished creating your frog bowl, I will provide underglazes for you to paint and personalize your piece. After the bisque firing, I will apply a clear glaze for added durability and a beautiful finished surface.
Because clay must dry completely before firing, the finishing process takes several weeks. After your project has completely dried, it will go through a bisque firing. Once the bisque firing is complete, I will clean each piece, apply wax to the underside, glaze it, and then fire it one final time. Projects will be ready for pick-up in approximately 4–6 weeks. Shipping is also available for an additional fee.
Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and have your hair pulled back. Rings, bracelets, and other loose jewelry are best left at home.
Please Note:
• Arrive no more than 5 minutes before class begins.
• Please follow all studio rules and procedures.
• Due to limited seating, class registrations are non-refundable.
