Hip Hop Dance Workshops: Lady C teaches Hip Hip, Popping, and Locking

A globally acclaimed street dance artist and choreographer, Lady C is a four-time Dora Mavor Moore Award winner and former Canadian Dancer of the Year. Known for her commanding presence at premier global events like Summer Dance Forever and JOAT, she is an active member of Symbiotic Monsters, Soul Shifters (USA), and Holla Jazz. Her artistry spans international stages, film, and music, including work for Disney, Hulu, and her own recording project, ‘CEE.’

Master the funk-based technique of muscle contraction and relaxation. Lady C guides dancers through hits, angles, and illusions with a focus on technical precision and flow.

7:00pm | Locking
Explore this high-energy funk style characterized by its sharp "locks," points, and rhythmic syncopation. The session dives into the punctuated movements and playful spirit of the style's heritage.
