Please join us for our first public workshop on the Wellington County Climate Adaptation Plan on March 30, 2026 at 6:30 pmWellington County has initiated a Climate Adaptation Plan to address climate changes such as rising average temperatures, more frequent extreme heat days, intensified storms, and shorter return periods for extreme weather events. These events are already affecting local infrastructure, agriculture, energy systems and public services. The Plan will strengthen Wellington County’s capacity to adapt to changing climate conditions with measures to support decision-making, implementation and long-term resilience-building across County programs, services and community partners.
Please join our first in person public workshop on March 30, 2026 at 6:30 pm at Highland Rugby Field House, Fergus. The workshop will begin with a presentation to describe climate changes followed by table group discussions to understand impacts from climate change being experienced by residents.
