Hip & Mobility: Senior Dance Workshop
About this Event
Hip & Mobility: Senior Dance Workshop is a joyful, accessible dance fitness experience designed specifically for adults 55+. Led by Shakkoi Hibbert, this welcoming workshop uses uplifting Afro-Caribbean music and guided movement to support hip mobility, confidence, and overall well-being.
Participants will explore a combination of standing and chair-based movements at their own pace, making the workshop accessible for a range of mobility levels and dance experiences. No previous dance experience is required, just come ready to move, connect, and enjoy yourself.
This workshop is part of Roots & Rhythm: Senior Dance Classes, Nia Centre’s pilot senior dance programming designed to create intentional opportunities for older adults to engage in creative movement, build community, and experience the joy of dance together.
