About this Event

Join us for our inaugural Cookbook Club as we share a potluck style meal and discuss Sohla El-Waylly's START HERE. All tickets include a little sip of somethin'.

HOW IT WORKS

Everyone will prepare a dish from START HERE by Sohla El-Waylly. Ahead of the event, you'll receive access to a spreadsheet where you and other attendees will sign up for the dish of your choice. Then, on March 19th, we'll gather in our kitchen space to discuss the author's perspective, as well as our own experiences cooking through the book. Cookbook club members will also receive a 10% discount in-store for the month of March (appliances excluded).

If you purchase a copy of the book with your ticket, you may pick it up in-store. Copies of START HERE can be picked up begining Friday, February 20th!

ABOUT THE BOOK

A practical, information-packed, and transformative guide to becoming a better cook and conquering the kitchen, Start Here is a must-have master class in leveling up your cooking.
Across a dozen technique-themed chapters—from “Temperature Management 101” and “Break it Down & Get Saucy” to “Go to Brown Town,” “All About Butter,” and “Getting to Know Dough”—Sohla El-Waylly explains the hows and whys of cooking, introducing the fundamental skills that you need to become a more intuitive, inventive cook.
