Hill's Kitchen July Cookbook Club: Superiority Burger
About this Event
Pull up a chair for our fifth Cookbook Club, and this month we are cooking from one of the most inventive vegetarian cookbooks out there.
HOW IT WORKS
Everyone prepares a dish from THE SUPERIORITY BURGER COOKBOOK by Brooks Headley ahead of the event. Once you register, you'll receive access to a shared spreadsheet where you and fellow attendees can sign up for the dish of your choice. Then on July 30th we gather in the kitchen at Hill's Kitchen to share the meal, talk through the author's perspective, and swap notes on our own experiences cooking through the book.
Cookbook Club members also receive 15% off in-store for the month of July (appliances excluded).
If you'd like a copy of the book, you can add one to your ticket at checkout and pick it up in-store beginning Wednesday, July 1st.
$15 without book. $40 with book.
Thursday July 30 · 6:00–8:00pm

ABOUT THE BOOK
Superiority Burger began as a tiny seven seat takeout counter in New York's East Village, born from chef Brooks Headley's belief that vegetarian food could be just as craveable, inventive, and downright delicious as anything coming off a grill. The Superiority Burger Cookbook captures that same spirit: playful, unpretentious recipes built around vegetables, grains, and bold flavor combinations that never feel like they are missing something. From the now legendary Superiority Burger itself to soft serve, salads, and snacks, this is a cookbook for anyone who thinks vegetarian cooking should never be boring.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Brooks Headley is a chef, author, and former professional drummer who spent years as the pastry chef at Del Posto before opening Superiority Burger in 2015. The tiny restaurant quickly became a New York institution and a James Beard Award winner, known for its inventive, plant forward menu and devoted following. Headley is the author of Brooks Headley's Fancy Desserts and The Superiority Burger Cookbook, and continues to push the boundaries of what vegetarian food can be.
