Hiking Event: Peak District National Park – Sat 06 Jun 2026This one is a big, proper adventure day out. We’re heading to the Peak District to hike the Grindsbrook Clough & Fox Holes route around Edale, with a fun scramble section and epic views. Expect a good workout, a great group vibe, and loads of photo moments.

- Route: Grindsbrook Clough & Fox Holes (Edale area)
- Distance: 12 km (7.4 miles)
- Ascent: 771 m (2529 ft)
- Duration: around 6–7 hours
- Difficulty: 7/10 (challenging and steep in places)
Meeting point and trains (if travelling with the group)
- Meet: 6:45 AM at London Euston Station (main entrance, by the benches)
- Train out: 7:13 AM from London Euston
- Arrive: Edale around 10:32 AM
- Train back: 18:47 from Edale
- Back in London: around 22:59 at Euston
- Start & finish: Edale Station
Cost
- Members: £30
- Non-members: £45
- Group transport option available (+£120)
- Optional add-on (+£5): Hiking in London buff + Peak District patch
Important transport note
If you choose the group transport option, we travel together there and back from the same station. If you plan to return separately or get off at a different station, please buy your own individual train ticket in advance.
What to bring
- Hiking boots (highly recommended) and hiking poles if you have them
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Water: at least 1L (2L ideal)
- Lunch/snacks for a picnic stop
- Extra money for food/drinks after the hike (we’ll finish at a local pub)
Dogs are welcome, on a lead at all times.
