From Jiantan MRT you take a bus to Pingding Village to start this scenic hike along the Pingding Historic Canal. The trails are mostly downhill, along shaded stone pathways and steps. There are three levels of waterways, dating back to the 1870s, to walk along and explore. The canals were built to provide transportation, irrigation and drinking-water for the village. The trails eventually bring you to Zhishan Road where you catch the bus back to the Jiantan.
