NOTE: Because many of us will be attending a celebration of life for Edwin, one of our longtime members, WE WILL MEET AT 1:00 pm, not our customary 8:00 am meeting time. Also note, we will MEET AT THE TRAILHEAD on the west side of Cooper Creek Reservoir, by the dam.Details: The hike around Cooper Creek Reservoir makes a regular appearance on our hiking schedule because it's nearby and scenic.

Difficulty level: Easy to Moderate
Route: The hike will begin from the boat ramp located at the end of Edgewater Road and will follow the lakeshore trail completely around the lake
Distance: About 6 miles
Pluses: Cooper Creek Reservoir is close to Roseburg and the trail is mostly flat. Views of the lake will provide mental health therapy for all involved.
Minuses: It is winter after all, so there's always a possibility of inclement weather. There is some poison oak in the area but the trail is generally clear of that accursed plant. The footing can be slippery in places if the trail gets rained on.

On the day of the hike FOR THIS HIKE ONLY! Meet at 1 pm at the west end of the reservoir by the dam.
Bring water, lunch, and appropriate clothing for hiking.
If you are riding with somebody, be prepared to share gas expenses with your driver.
Please do not attend if you feel sick, are coughing, or have a fever. No need spreading the germy goodness!
The club hikes every other Saturday, rain or shine. Hiking is free, everybody is welcome.
