High School Traffic Safety Event

The Grand Junction High School, in partnership with Mesa County Valley School District 51, Grand Junction High School, Colorado State Patrol, and other community organizations, invites Mesa County students ages 15-18 to participate in a free, hands-on traffic safety event.
📅 Saturday, August 8, 2026
📍 Grand Junction High School Parking Lot
1400 N. 5th Street, Grand Junction
Choose one session:
🕗 8:00 a.m. - Noon
🕐 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Students will rotate through interactive stations covering:
🚗 Distracted driving
🚫 Impaired driving awareness
🔒 Seat belt safety
🛣️ Defensive driving
🚶 Pedestrian safety
🚲 Bicycle safety
Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion and a free school parking pass for the 2026-27 school year.
