Bowling for Horses Returns to Benefit Local Nonprofit
The Grand Valley Equine Assisted Learning Center (GVEALC) at Historic Moon Farm invites the community to lace up their bowling shoes and support a great cause at the upcoming Bowling for Horses fundraiser on August 6th at Freeway Bowl in Grand Junction.
The event is part of a three-tournament series benefiting GVEALC's equine-assisted therapy, educational, and mental health programs that serve children, adults, veterans, and families throughout Western Colorado. Team registration begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by bowling at 6:30 p.m.
Teams of five can register for $150, while businesses and organizations can support the event through Lane Sponsorships for $200 or combine a team and sponsorship for $250. Registration includes two games of bowling, shoe rental, a pizza for the team, and a pitcher of soda. Participants will also enjoy a silent auction and opportunities to win prizes throughout the evening.
Bowlers who participate in all three Bowling for Horses tournaments become eligible for grand prize drawings at the conclusion of the series.
Funds raised through Bowling for Horses directly support the mission of Grand Valley Equine Assisted Learning Center, which uses the power of horses to improve physical, emotional, educational, and social outcomes for individuals and families.
